Last Saturday was a joyous occasion along the Fox River at the Brix in Carpentersville. Molly and Mike were able to have their long awaited wedding celebration!!! Like many, they decided to hold a small ceremony on their original wedding date, August 8, 2020, and waited to celebrate with family and friends until it was safer for all.
Having a safe environment for their family and friends was incredibly important to both Molly and Mike, so created a reception format that worked for them. After doing the traditional getting ready photos and family portraits, the rest of the day was broken down into two hour segments with a 30 minute cleaning period in between. Guests were assigned a scheduled time and finally got to see their loved ones faces off of a screen. During the thirty minute cleaning breaks, Molly, Mike and I took twenty minutes of bride and groom portraits featuring Molly's gorgeous wedding gown that she finally got to wear for the first time!
They day was filled with chatter and laughter and some champagne shooting. That's right. Shooting. Not spraying. Mike and Molly took the who champagne spray to the next level with the Bubbly Blaster!!! This thing was EPIC! Molly and her Mom, Ellen, first saw it showcased on Shark Tank and called each other to tell the other about it. Best wedding party find!
Molly and Mike, I am so happy I was able to watch you celebrate your joy and excitement with your family and friends. It has been a long wedding journey, but you made it! The first story of your lives together is finally complete. Wishing you both love and happiness for all your years ahead...and maybe a little champagne shooting too. Cheers!!!!
