Carol Stream In Home Newborn Session | Plimmer Family

There’s a special kind of magic that happens when two people become parents for the first time. Lisa and Jim are officially in that beautiful new chapter, and it was such a joy to photograph them as they welcomed their sweet baby girl, Mackenzie, into the world.

From the moment I arrived for their in home newborn session in Carol Stream, I could feel the love. Not just from Lisa and Jim, but from their first babies—their loyal fur kids—who insisted on being part of Mackenzie’s newborn session from beginning to end. They snuggled up, watched carefully, and proudly took their place as big siblings. It was the most heart-warming thing to witness, and I think Mackenzie already has the best built-in protectors.

And then there’s the nursery… oh my goodness. A true Disney dream, with Winnie the Pooh details around every corner. From honey pots to storybook touches, the room felt like stepping right into the Hundred Acre Wood. It was whimsical, cozy, and filled with little reminders of Lisa and Jim’s shared love of Disney—a love I know Mackenzie will grow up to share.

Lisa and Jim, thank you for inviting me into your home and letting me document these first moments of your journey as a family of three (plus paws!). Mackenzie is so lucky to have you both—and I can’t wait to watch her grow surrounded by so much love, magic, and maybe a little Disney pixie dust too.
