Fabyan Forest Preserve Winter Maternity Session | Mary & Nick

Mary and Nick had one very important request for their winter maternity session at Fabyan Forest Preserve—their two pups had to be included. And as a total sucker for dogs, that was an easy 100% YES from me.

For mid-March, the weather was surprisingly bearable. Still no real signs of spring, but thankfully the snow had melted, making it comfortable enough to wander. Nestled right along the Fox River, Fabyan is beautiful in every season, and that day it felt especially peaceful—we practically had the entire preserve to ourselves.

Between leisurely walks, pup cuddles, and soaking in the quiet winter scenery, the session felt relaxed, joyful, and so very them. Dogs, fresh air, and a little winter calm before their world changes forever—it was the perfect way to capture this season of life.
