Intimate Spring Wedding | Lauren & Nick

Yesterday I had the extreme joy of watching Lauren and Nick join their lives together in front of their parents and siblings. It was an emotional day filled with some happy tears and an abundance of laughter.

Originally Lauren and Nick had a wedding date set for September 4, 2020, but to keep their family and wedding guests safe during this horrible pandemic, they choose to move their wedding to May 30, 2021. However, a few weeks ago Lauren reached out to say they would be having a small backyard ceremony this year on May 30th, one year before the BIG wedding, and asked if I could photograph. Obviously I said yes, with lots of enthusiasm!!!

When I arrived the celebration had already begun, in a casual hang out with the family for a summer evening kind of way. The absolute best kind of way! This small, intimate celebration of love allowed everyone to relax, visit and just be.

We began the night with an exchange of gifts and moved quickly into the ceremony. Everyone there had put so much heart and soul into this special evening. It was clear how truly loved Lauren and Nick are by all. As Lauren's father walked her from the porch to the ceremony beneath the trees her sister, Samantha, and her brother-in-law accompanied them with a delightful melody on guitar and bongos.

While tears of joy trickled down cheeks, Lauren and Nick exchanged vows, rings and said "I do"....sealed with a kiss. Everyone cheered, confetti shot into the sky and Lauren and Nick proceeded up the aisle with their hands in the air. A celebration indeed.

Lauren and Nick, I am so honored that I was able to be there to witness such a special love. You both are incredibly sweet, generous individuals that deserve all the happiness you bring to one another. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your 2020 wedding. I cannot wait to do it all again in 2021!!!! Cheers to you both!!!
