Morton Arboretum Spring Wedding Firefly Pavilion


There’s something extra magical about a spring wedding. The energy, the fresh blooms, the excitement in the air—it all feels brand new again. And Lauren and Justin’s wedding day at the Morton Arboretum’s Firefly Pavilion could not have been a more perfect way to kick off spring.


From the moment I arrived, it was clear this was going to be a beautiful day—not just because of the sunshine (which we were so thankful for), but because of the people, the love, and the thoughtful little details that made everything feel so personal.


Let’s start with the florals—wow. Shamrock Garden Florist absolutely knocked it out of the park with the most stunning pastel arrangements. Soft pinks, buttery yellows, lilacs, and baby blues danced together in bouquets that felt light, romantic, and completely fitting for a spring celebration at the Arboretum. They added such a dreamy touch to the already-gorgeous setting.


Lauren and Justin were surrounded by an amazing team, and I have to give a huge shoutout to Sarah Kathleen Events for making the day flow effortlessly. Sarah is a total rock star, and every detail was handled with such care and intention. Working alongside her and the vendor crew was such a joy—truly a dream team kind of day.


And then… Lauren’s shoes. Can we talk about those Betsy Johnson beauties?! She had not one, but two fabulous pairs—one classic heel and one adorable pair of elegant blue sneakers. I’ll be honest, I had to fight the urge to sneak those sneakers into my camera bag. (Kidding! Sort of.) They were the perfect mix of style and comfort, and totally matched Lauren’s elegant-but-fun vibe.


The whole day was filled with love and laughter, from Justin’s ear-to-ear smile as he saw Lauren for the first time, to the sweet family moments that reminded me why I adore this job so much. These two have such a beautiful connection—it was such a joy to witness and capture.


Lauren and Justin, thank you for trusting me to document your day. What a stunning start to kick off busy season—I’m still smiling thinking about it all!
