San Diego Wedding Portraits | Stephanie + Alex

San Diego. Young Love. Disney World. Three words that don't necessarily go together, but will describe Alex and Stephanie perfectly.

A few years back Stephanie was interning at Disney World in sunny Florida. One day she was asked to work security at ESPN during an event. Not a typical position for her. Actually, it was a first! For those that haven't met Stephanie, she is not exactly your typical looking security guard. And I say this with lots of love, but I don't know how intimidating it would be if she was in charge of stopping an incident. The girl is very, very tiny. However, I truly believe things happen for a reason for little did she know Alex was also at ESPN working in the marketing department that day. Their paths crossed in the parking lot while tailgating. They got to talking and things developed from there. Stephanie remained in Florida after completing her internship while Alex completed school. Then they both headed back to San Diego where Stephanie had a chance to complete her schooling. A great foundation for any relationship. Their love and support each other in their life goals is inspiring.

For their bride and groom portraits we hit up all of the popular areas around San Diego beginning at Balboa Park, followed by Spruce Street Suspension Bridge, Scripps Pier and ended with the seals at La Jolla Cove during sunset. It was an unusually cold and VERY windy day for San Diego. Stephanie's hair was tied back into a romantic pony tail with a few strands of wispy giving a whimsical feel in the gusty wind. Paired with her fitted lace dress designed by Alyssa Kristen she was absolutely stunning. Alex had a slightly more casual look in his dress pants and button down shirt, but for a southern California beach setting he fit right in.
