I usually start my blogs by saying it was a beautiful day, and don't get me wrong, it was!!! However, Mother Nature seemed to be having an internal struggle. The day started out with early AM severe storms. Then the sun peeked out by early morning. Then it rained again. Then the sun peeked out. Then more rain, and so on, for all of the morning and into the early afternoon. Thankfully the wedding party was indoors safe and dry. I was on the covered porch photographing details watching with slight amusement as the weather continued to change by the minute.
Thankfully by the time we were ready to go outside for portraits the rain had cleared and the sun was out. However, with that gorgeous sunshine came a cool, but crazy breeze that made for a slightly more challenging portrait time.
Still, despite the hurdles of the day, what I remember most is how Mike and Erika looked at each other. Their love glistened in their eyes with tender glances that happened so quickly you almost missed them. And, as they said their vows, the wind died down and all was still. The only movement was that of cheering when they kissed becoming husband and wife. Their family was more than overjoyed and celebrated with exuberance. A magical day filled with sweet memories.
Congratulations Erika and Mike!!! I am honored to have been to document your special day!! Cheers to many years of love, laughter and happiness.
