Morton Arboretum Fall Engagement Session

Who knew a first job out of college would also come with meeting the love of your life?

Both fresh out of college, Lauren and Justin landed their very first jobs as chemical engineers at Ingredion, working in the corn wet milling department. On Lauren’s very first day, Justin spotted her during her welcome lunch and immediately took note—first of how cute she was, and shortly after, her fantastic sense of humor. (Because let’s be honest, humor goes a long way.)

Lauren noticed him too. From afar, she admired his height and that deep, unmistakable baritone voice—the kind that naturally draws your attention without even trying. What started as quiet admiration on both sides slowly turned into something more, built on laughter, shared experiences, and the comfort of growing into adulthood together.

When it came time to capture their love story, there was no question where they wanted to be.

Lauren and Justin chose the stunning Morton Arboretum as the backdrop for their fall engagement session—a place that felt peaceful, timeless, and full of natural beauty. Wandering through the trees and paths, it was easy to see how perfectly this setting matched them: grounded, intentional, and quietly romantic.

And because one visit simply wasn’t enough, they chose the Morton Arboretum again—this time as the place where they would say I do for their spring wedding the following year. There’s something incredibly special about returning to the same location for both your engagement and wedding day, allowing one meaningful place to hold multiple chapters of your story.

From building careers together to choosing one meaningful place for both their engagement and wedding, Lauren and Justin’s love story is full of intention and admiration. Capturing their journey—twice, in the same beautiful setting—is such an honor.
