Summer Proposal at Cantigny Gardens in Winfield | Griffin & Megan

Griffin planned the sweetest summer proposal at Cantigny Gardens in Winfield for Megan. His original vision was to drop to one knee in front of the grand mansion. When I arrived, I quickly realized that plan would need a slight adjustment because the mansion was closed for a wedding.

Thankfully, Cantigny has no shortage of beautiful spots. We shifted locations just enough to still include the stunning mansion in the background, paired with the colorful lilies floating in the pond. It ended up being the perfect combination, and the flowers even complemented Megan’s dress beautifully.

It was a perfect day at Cantigny, and the gardens were filled with people enjoying the sunshine and beautiful grounds. But once Griffin got down on one knee, the moment felt like it belonged just to them.

After Megan said yes, we wandered through the gardens together, taking advantage of the stunning scenery to capture a few more photos. Between the mansion, the blooming flowers, and the excitement of the moment, it made for such a beautiful and unforgettable start to their next chapter.
