Garfield Park Conservatory Fall Proposal | Abby & Jacob

Some moments are so full of joy that they don’t go exactly as planned… and somehow, that makes them even more perfect.

Jacob and Abby are simply adorable together, and their proposal story is one I won’t soon forget. Jacob had been planning this moment for months, thoughtfully mapping out every tiny detail for his fall proposal at the beautiful Garfield Park Conservatory. He knew she loved flowers and greenery and in November, that wasn't likely in Chicago.

From the setting to the timing, everything was carefully chosen to create the perfect memory. But when the moment finally arrived? Abby was so excited to say YES that Jacob’s knee didn’t even make it to the ground.

What followed was pure magic.

Instead of rushing into anything, the two of them spent a good ten minutes just laughing, holding onto each other, and soaking it all in. It was one of those surreal, heart-bursting moments—the kind you know will replay in your minds forever. Time seemed to pause as they stood there together, wrapped up in joy, disbelief, and so much love.

Afterwards, as we wandered through the conservatory afterward capturing photos, Abby still had that look of sweet shock on her face—only partially hidden by the world’s biggest, brightest smile. The laughter, the tight hugs, the way they couldn’t stop looking at each other… it was all such a beautiful reflection of who they are together.

Jacob and Abby, your proposal was full of joy, laughter, and genuine love—and it was an absolute honor to capture the very beginning of this next chapter for you.
