The Family Experience
Your session will feel relaxed and natural, never stiff or forced. You won't have to wonder what to do or how to stand. I'll offer simple prompts and gentle direction, then give you room to laugh, interact, and simply enjoy being together.
The focus is on the genuine moments: the quiet glances, the laughter, the hugs, and the connection you share. We'll absolutely capture a few classic smiling-at-the-camera portraits, but most of your gallery will be filled with the little in-between moments that often become your favorites.
Indoor vs Outdoor
An in-home session is relaxed, personal, and centered around the place where your family spends everyday life together. We'll incorporate a few meaningful activities, like reading books, baking cookies, building with blocks, or simply cuddling on the couch. The result is a gallery that feels comfortable, genuine, and uniquely yours.
Outdoor sessions have a different feel. We'll meet at one of my favorite locations around the Chicago area and take advantage of beautiful light, open spaces, and room to explore. I'll keep everyone moving with simple prompts and playful activities while we capture the laughter, connection, and little moments that happen naturally along the way.

As a mom myself, I know firsthand just how quickly time passes. One minute you're counting tiny fingers and toes, and before you know it, they're running ahead with a personality all their own. Every season is different, and each one deserves to be remembered.
My own journey to motherhood wasn't a simple one. It held more lows than highs, but in the end we were incredibly blessed to adopt our amazing son and, through that journey, gained a wonderful birth family as well.
