Palatine Engagement & Family Session | Anne & Mike

Anne and Mike knew two things going into their engagement session. First, they wanted to include Anne’s two children. Second, they wanted the session to take place right in their own backyard.

Not many people are lucky enough to have a backyard that feels like a forest preserve, but this family does. Tall grasses, beautiful trees, and nature just a few steps from their back door made the perfect setting for their Palatine Engagement & Family Session. I have to admit, I was a little jealous.

We spent the session capturing a mix of engagement photos and family moments. It was so clear how much the kids adore Mike, and he feels exactly the same about them. Their connection felt natural and easy, the kind of dynamic that makes a session feel more like time spent together than time in front of a camera.

Their energy was contagious. Happy, playful, carefree, and just the right amount of silly. Being around them was simply fun.

I cannot wait to spend time with this wonderful crew again when they celebrate their wedding at Klehm Arboretum and Botanic Gardens.
