The Coffman fall family session at Wheaton's Hurley Gardens was the kind of session that reminds me exactly why I love what I do. From the moment we started, it was clear this wasn’t going to be a stiff, stand-and-smile kind of afternoon—it was all about movement, connection, and a whole lot of laughter.
Hurley Gardens was showing off in true fall fashion, with warm colors, cozy textures, and that endless golden light shining down from above. But honestly? The real magic came from the Coffman's themselves. We spent most of our time playing games, being silly, and leaning into the moments that naturally unfolded. There was movement, laughter, and those in-between glances that happen when a family is truly having fun together.
Instead of worrying about “perfect,” we focused on real. The kids led the way with their energy and imagination, and the parents happily jumped right in. That’s when the best photos happen—when everyone forgets about the camera and just enjoys being together. The laughter was contagious, the smiles were effortless, and the joy was unmistakable.
Sessions like this are such a good reminder that family photos don’t have to feel like work. They can feel like play. They can feel like a memory in the making. And the Coffman Fall Family Session was exactly that—a fun, joyful afternoon captured in a place as lovely as the season itself.
If family photos are on your wish list, take this as your sign: bring the games, bring the laughter, and let the rest fall into place
